There's been a lot happening behind the scenes in the world of pixel advertising.

I gotta tell you that if you're advertising here... go find at least one friend and get them to advertise too. If you're not yet advertising here, get on board now. Bold statements? Read on...

Even Jane and Phil haven't learned of what I've been doing, so this will come as a surprise to them too.

I can tell you that PixelsAnyone.com has been singled out by some folks who are very interested in forming an international body which is working to establish standards for the pixel advertising industry. I have been asked to join as a founding member. Two of us are located within a few miles of each other, and a third person is in Europe. We're still looking to add a couple more people.

What's in it for you, the advertiser, or the visitor?

We're expecting to raise the bar. Right now there are some 4000 different sites out there. Some are excellent, others are pure garbage. One thing is for sure, there's a lot of interest in pixel advertising.

I can't really talk much about our tasks at hand, but can reveal that we'll be looking to establish some common terminology, as well as definitions and later standards regarding statistics disclosure. Eventually we hope to establish a certification process.

Pixel advertising is here to stay. The grids as you see them today are merely the first generation. Already scripts are available to incorporate pixel advertising into banners. Watch for additional traffic driving scripts including ways to deliver pixel advertising in a contextual manner. Down the line, you could even see pixel ads go wireless.

As an advertiser, does that open your market a bit more?

We're working right now in the "niche market" areas, developing a number of directories and guides to various sites. All this serves to drive more traffic to you, the advertiser. It will also make it much easier for you the customer to find the sites.

This year certainly looks incredibly promising.

JPE Advertising has discontinued their business relationship with PayPal.

From this time forward, all payments for any site associated with JPE Advertising may be made either through
StormPay or 2CheckOut.

That includes pixel purchases here at Pixelsanyone.com.

Do you need a StormPay membership? Click here.

Things you need to know about StormPay.

It's a good idea to attach your checking account to your StormPay account. When you choose to move funds back and forth, that transfer is almost instantaneous.

If you plan to do a lot of business with StormPay, it's probably a good idea to go through their rather expensive verification process.

While their fees are higher than most, the ability to move funds, and to complete payments for business of your choice is refreshing.

Credit card purchases (if you've not listed them with your StormPay account) may be made using 2CheckOut.

Bank wires are still accepted for orders larger than $1000. Be sure to communicate with Jane regarding bank wires.

Is it safe yet? Is the hijacking complete?

Man, no sooner did Joe and Mable get a hold of this place than...

Kaplooie! Kazow! Bam!

Our server had a major meltdown... and of course that happened on the Thanksgiving holiday week-end.

Oh, and I've got to come clean... the hijacking really is a friendly one. You see, Joe and Mable are the alter-egos of Phil and Jane.

Joe and Mable actually have created their own site... gotta find a way to fly Mable to Paris before she drives us all batty.

Now, on to more important things. If you're an "Alexa Toolbar" owner, today marks a milestone of sorts... PixelsAnyone has crossed that magic 50K mark.

What does that mean? Well for us it means we're really getting some serious traffic. Depending upon exactly how you interpret the stats, we're being seen by 27 to 40 people out of every million Internet visitors who use IE. I don't personally put all our stock on Alexa as I know many of our visitors use FireFox. Maybe I can coax some stats out of Phil next month so y'all can see how it all relates.

Now, it's a long road to break 40K but with your help we can do it... maybe even before the New Year.

What you can do is tell all your friends about this incredible new way to advertise. After following and analyzing this method for the last 3 months, it's not a fad, it's a movement!

If there's one thing I know for sure... when it comes to movements, the best place to be is in front of the crowd. You can secure your spot right now while we still have awesome "above the fold" pixels available.

Don't have a graphic? No problem... we can take care of it for you... Shari (Phil's right hand pixel creator) will get the job done just as quickly as you purchase your spot... You'll get your special ad up in record time, even if I have to create your graphic.

Finally... Jane, I mean Mable has let the cat out of the bag... well almost.

Y'all need to see if this makes any more sense to you than it does to that lush, the Irish announcer.

Personally, my imaginataion ran way too wild... but that's for a whole 'nother time.

Before you start this audio, remove any liquids from near your keyboard, and for sure... don't drink anything during the program!

Ok, the takeover is nearly complete. Jane has been allowed to speak about why it's so important to list with PixelsAnyone... you can catch her "hostage plea" right here.

Now, Joe has told me that y'all have until midnight (EST) Sunday night, and it WILL NEVER EVER RETURN!

Here's the deal...

Get your ad on the PixelsAnyone homepage and that same ad will be added to the new Joe and Mable page for free... That basically means Phil is giving up half his commission to Joe to help send Mable to Paris... Think the guy is getting desperate?

At any rate, it's one really sweet deal for you. The Joe and Mable site gets about 6000 visits a day already, and I'm working my butt off to get it triple that very shortly. Mable really want's to go to Paris, and she won't let up on us until she gets her way.

You can help all of us out by simply ordering your ad for the PixelsAnyone homepage. Now, if you check the stats, you'll notice that the larger ads attract more attention. Open your wallet, dust off your credit card... do whatever it takes to get the largest ad you can with the resources you have.

When you do the math, it's really simple...

This page is up for a minimum of 5 years. Every click you get LOWERS your clickthru cost. Look at it this way... even if you only get 2 clicks a day over the life of your ad... that is 3650 pure visitors to your site. Most of our advertisers are seeing well over 100 clicks a week, especially the ones with at least 600 pixels. At the lower click rate, that's about .16 per visitor... pretty cheap in my book.

Now, consider you're getting double exposure... that takes your potentia averagel cost per click to about .08 a visit... and you really can't beat that.

Grab your credit card or check your PayPal balance... order the largest ad you can afford and get double exposure!

Click here to place your ad... no image? No worry... we'll create one for you. Just leave the "upload image" blank.

Remember, this offer expires at midnight (EST) Sunday, Nov 13.

Left me home to take care of a few things, like spill the beans on the new site.

Ya' want a sneak preview?

Check this out... If you really hurry... and I mean like do it today... you'll get double exposure for your ad dollar.

Remember I told you that a really zany duo were about to kidnap Jane and Phil?

Well, it looks like they've gotten Jane's "car service" in on the act. At least that's the buzz I've heard.

You see, Jane and Phil just HAD to go to Philly for the "to-do" with Ken McArthur and buddies. Now Jane, ever-mindful of costs about choked on the price of airfare. We're talking over $800 for the two of them to go from NYC to Philly and back.

Jane, being a virtual life-long New Yorker has employed this thing called a "car service". It's a little like your own personal cab/limo. Sure beats owning a car in Manhattan. Believe me, I've driven there one time, and wouldn't repeat that trick.

Anyways, she found out the "car service" would deliver both Phil and her to Philly and home again for a fraction of the price, and about half the time. No airport security, etc.

Now, what she doesn't know is that the "car service" is in kahoots with that Irish dude from the Joe and Mable show. He's cooked up a neat way to hijack them and take over PixelsAnyone.

Jane and Phil are supposed to be home on Sunday night or Monday morning. Dum-ta-dum-dum...

Grab your ad right here. It has to be on the front page... that's a minimum of $100 ad. It's guraranteed up for 5 years or more, and you'll get equal billling on a new
secret page that Joe and Mable have created.

Now, Joe and Mable are very well known around the 'net. They get over 6K visits a day to their site. You'll get a ton of exposure with this special!

Seems it has something to do with putting Phil into a slip and then having him thrown into the slammer. There's a 'roo involved too, but couldn't figure all that out. I couldn't figure it all out.

You can listen to them hatch the plan right here.

Anyways, Jane is still oblivious to the whole thing as she's cooking up a plot to kill Phil anyhow. Seems he's just gone bonkers giving away all kinds of secret advertising stuff, all leading up to the next launch of PixelsAnyone? "The Next Generation!"

If you've not been there yet, be sure to check out the next little step in the plan... transporting your pixel advertising
to your viewer, rather than making your viewer come to you. Prettty slick, eh?

Wow, getting knocked off line for nearly a week is certainly no fun! And here I thought it was Phil and Jane who were being captured and held hostage... but that's another story for another time.

I'm back and see that Phil and Jane still aren't aware of the plot against them... They're gleefully going about their ususal advertising business and moving PixelsAnyone? into their general advertising mix... something NO OTHER pixel page producer has or even can do.

I was checking out Alex's blog yesterday and he even says there is no "next generation" of his site.

Now, that's got us all jumping for joy! You see, we've read this all correctly. No one else in the pixel ad business is in it for anything more than the quick buck. What a sure way to fail. Oh sure, you make a little money, but how can you define success?

Some things you may not know about Phil and Jane...

They own 45 different business sites, each with a built in advertising plan.

Phil is a master copywriter.

Jane is the "ultimate" deal maker.

Together, they are joint venture partners extraordinaire.

So what does this have to do with PixelsAnyone?

A lot!

Now that the basic programming infrastucture is in place, it's time to kick this whole pixel idea up another notch... after all, they're in "New York mode" right now.

First really interactive opportunity for you is the new Pixels Anyone Safelist.

Before you get all worked up and tell me safelists are dead... consider just a few things with me.

Not all safelists are created equal. Some folks have tweaks and twists that will get your ad seen.

JPE Advertising has been in the "safelist business" for a number of years, automating many of the submission processes.

If you're new to ad writing, a safelist is a perfect training ground... When you get so much as a single click from something you've written, that piece is a keeper.

True to the PixelsAnyone name... if contains Pixel advertising... and that's really kewl in my book!

Until tomorrow, when I can check out what else they've done...

He told me they're planning a "takeover" of PixelsAnyone... and Mable's attempt at a jingle was really serious...

I- yi- yi, what am I gonna do? These two have just plain lost it!

From Oct 10 to Oct 18, PixelsAnyone.com has gained over 45.6% in the Alexa rankings...

So, what does that do for you?

It's an indication that we are being seen more and more by more and more people. When PixelsAnyone.com gets seen, and your pixel ad is on our page... then you're seen too.

Pretty cool beans!

You could say we're kind of the "new kid" on the block. After all, the first known site of this kind sprung to life August 26, nearly 2 months ago.

As of this writing, there are in excess of 300 "copycat" or "clone" sites. Very few are "making it".

Why do I tell you this?

You need to know that this little industry is for real. There are a handful of us who are working hard to conjure up the next move.

Everything we do is with you, the advertiser in mind. How can we place your ads in front of open, receptive eyeballs, which are attached to people who have money to spend and want your product.

And, in case you're not an advertiser, but rather a surfer, or a web "browser", how do we present advertising to you in such a way that it is creative, intriguing, and complementary to the page you're reading.

Ok, so, back to all this stuff about ratings...

You can make a difference here.

We're ranked #7 in the overall Alexa "Pixel page" rankings.

We want to be #1.

You can help us get to #1 by telling your friends about us. Make PixelsAnyone.com your IE default browser page. (Alexa only counts in IE.)

Pixel Wars is gearing up for a contest... We want to be #1 there, too.

You can make us #1 by clicking here. Be sure to add your comments too.

Also, make a trip to PixelList and comment on their review of PixelsAnyone.com.

Ok, it's getting late in Forest Grove. Either I quit now... or I'll still be up when Jane comes on line in New York, and I'll once again be sleepless in Forest Grove.

I'm feeling dizzy...

Maybe, just maybe we can settle into a bit of a routine? Don't count on it!

I just got word in the last couple of days that we've been added to "The Pixel Wars" and also reviewed by Merlin and Harris at "The PixelList".

Add to that all the interest our jvpartners are stirring up, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's back to "sleepless in Forest Grove".

The other night... Mable (aka Jane) was tearing her hair when our programmers inadvertently uploaded the test script to the main site... Trying to humor her a bit, I commented that sometimes doing things like this is a "little like launching with your shorts down."

Well...they (Phil and Jane) must have thought it was a pretty good line, as they used it in the WebProTimes newsletter this week.

In fact, they tell quite a story there about this launch... you can grab a free subscription right here... http://webprotimes.com/

Ok, it's time for you to get on this rocketship too.

Do you own a program? Sell a product? Need more subscribers to your lists? You need a pixel ad with us... For as little as $25 (for a full 5 years), you can ride with us on your rocketship. Believe me, you'll not find a harder working crew than Phil, Jane and myself. We'll deliver the traffic!

Are you someone who is likely to purchase a product? Get into a program? Subscribe to someone's list? Then you really need PixelsAnyone.com right at your fingertips. We'll bring you the best of the best each and every time you open your web browser... Just make us your default homepage. Everything you need shows up on our homepage.

Have you seen the pretty little pixels? Don't you just love it when they go from blank to colorful?

And where did they ever think up those catchy alt tags?

Guess I'll have to find Phil. He's the expert on all that technical stuff.

(a full day later...)

Sorry about the delay... took me a while to tear Phil away from his work. You see, when he's doing creatives he sometimes forgets who he is... had to call him Joe just to get is attention.

Joe! Yes Shari. Are you and Mable rich yet?

Joe told me that no, they're not rich yet. That's because it takes time for stuff to get really cranking. Besides, he's not real sure he wants Mable to catch on to what he's doing yet... She'll be bugging him for that trip to Paris.

On the serious side, Joe said that the catchy alt tags have been created by the advertisers. You get a full 50 characters to tell your story.

Hmm... that's double the characters you get with an AdWords headline... pretty good deal!

Joe, can you create us an alt tag? (wonder what he charges...)

Paris? I don't get it!

"Yeah, you know I want to go to Paris. He told me that if he could create something like it we'd finally be rich and I could go to Paris."

Wow!

Now, that got me to thinking... I wonder if I could get a chunk of the action and retire to the golf course.

hmm... SNAP!

Back to the reality here. When your ad is seen by the gazillions of viewers, you may make enough for your own trip to Paris, or wherever.

You're creating a real work of art here... pop advertising Andy Warhol style in cyber-space. How cool is that?

I don't know about you, but I can't help but share this with everyone I talk with. It's so amazing.

Imagine, you pay for advertising ONE TIME and it stays up and keeps on working for you for at least 5 years. That's like a lifetime on the Internet.

Betcha even Mable has caught on to the concept by now. Guess I'll have to track her down.

I'll report back to you just as soon as we've chatted. This could be a hoot... you know what a goofball she can be...

hmm... Pixels Anyone?

Let me quickly catch you up to date... It's Shari... the lucky gal who gets to keep you up to date on all the happenings at Pixels Anyone.

What follows for the next several days are quick "blog posts" which I've held, waiting for this new script and blog to be installed.

Enjoy our travails as we bring you PixelsAnyone.com, the professional, automated website.

What a whirlwind of activity!

You're not gonna believe this... but Phil and Jane have been working nearly non-stop to rush this incredible new advertising vehicle to you. And me? I've been losing more than a few hours sleep just trying to keep up with them.

Let me paint you the picture...

Sunday afternoon (9/25) I got a call from a business associate who tipped me to an interesting webpage. Being the curious type who's always looking at emerging ideas, I went exploring.

Lordy!

I lost sleep over it... could hardly contain myself until I could figure out who best to share this nugget with...

Of course!

Jane and Phil. They're the ONLY ones who could muster the resourses to exploit this idea in record time.

And so... I've continued to lose sleep as Phil (night owl) and Jane (early bird) are moving at warp speed. Oh... throw in a 3 hr time difference and you can see why I'm sleepless in Forest Grove.

Just 19 days later... here it is... Pixels Anyone?

Since going into pre-launch on October 5th, it's been a whirlwind of activity. Just a short 48 hours later, PixelsAnyone.com was live on it's own server, attracting incredible attention in the process.

Sales have been awesome with over $22,000 in pixels sold. We also have orders for another $6000 or so. Those are awaiting icon submission and then upload to the server.

Press releases have been picked up by over 430 media outlets just since Saturday. Ya' think Jane's gonna be busy answering the phone and e-mail?

Our Alexa rating is very strong. In fact, I found a site which is tracking the Alexa ranking of over 100 "copycats". Within 4 short days, we've jumped to #8 in the list. Goal is to challenge for #1.

You can help with that by making PixelsAnyone.com your default browser page.

Here's what you get when you do that...

1. You get a colorful, frequently updated page that's becoming a virtual Picasso, or Rembrandt.

2. You will soon find neat little things hidden under those many icons. If you like treasure hunts, you're gonna love what we're cooking up.

3. You get access to awesome programs, products and services at the speed of mouse. No more hunting through search results. Watch for a directory of contributors in the not too distant future.

As an advertiser, what do you get?

1. You get thousands of "eyeballs" seeing your logo each and every time PixelsAnyone.com is seen. That means tons of traffic for you.

2. You get qualified, targeted clicks. Your logo and text message serve as your own personal billboard. When someone sees you logo and your text message, then they choose to click through to your site.

3. Your advertising cost is ridiculously low. Your 10x10 square for $100 works out to $20 a year (your ad is up for a full five years). That's $1.66 a month. Per day, it's .055 for your ad to be seen by thousands. Much less expensive than Google and no bidding process.

Reserve your space today while there are still choice spots. "Above the fold" click-through rates are 3 times higher than lower on the page. As usual, upper left and center tends to generate the most clicks.

So, what are you waiting for?

Make PixelsAnyone.com your default home page today.

Get your own ad seen by millions over the next 5 years. You'll be in very good company!

Pixel ads, the one's made famous by young Alex Tews, of the UK... There's no middle ground, you either love pixel ads, or you hate them!

Is it possible to separate your emotions from reality here?

The technical term for pixel is picture element, a pixel is a single point in a graphic image. Graphics monitors display pictures by dividing the display screen into thousands (or millions) of pixels, arranged in rows and columns. The pixels are so close together that they appear connected.

This means that for years, we have been in the "pixel advertising" business!

First came those big clunky, in your face banners. It got even worse when animation became the norm.

The most famous call to action "CLICK HERE" screamed at you.

Today you still find web pages chock full of nothing but big ugly low converting obnoxious 468 x 60 banners.

Over the years, the average banner size has really changed size. As Google and other search engines are providing ways to monetize pages with things like Google AdSense, things like the vertical banner and the leaderboard banner have become very popular.

I've got one question, though...

What if you could create room for even more ads while actually giving up less precious cyber-estate?

I really believe that what Alex has created with his collage of advertising ranging from 10 x 10 pixels to whatever size you can afford at $1 a pixel is providing a new platform.

In the short time (just over a month) no less than 100 "copycat" pages have sprouted like weeds. Some are total rip-offs, right down to the actual web design. Others are more subtle attempts at creativeness. There are even some which are very creative, with unique scripting.

Alas, many are also fading quickly into the big bit-bucket in the sky.

Those few with the staying power will have a say in how graphic advertising is delivered in the not-too-distant future.

For an example of what one company with "staying power" is doing, visit http://pixelsanyone.com.
