Things are happeing behind the scenes posted by admin

I gotta tell you that if you're advertising here... go find at least one friend and get them to advertise too. If you're not yet advertising here, get on board now. Bold statements? Read on...

Even Jane and Phil haven't learned of what I've been doing, so this will come as a surprise to them too.

I can tell you that PixelsAnyone.com has been singled out by some folks who are very interested in forming an international body which is working to establish standards for the pixel advertising industry. I have been asked to join as a founding member. Two of us are located within a few miles of each other, and a third person is in Europe. We're still looking to add a couple more people.

What's in it for you, the advertiser, or the visitor?

We're expecting to raise the bar. Right now there are some 4000 different sites out there. Some are excellent, others are pure garbage. One thing is for sure, there's a lot of interest in pixel advertising.

I can't really talk much about our tasks at hand, but can reveal that we'll be looking to establish some common terminology, as well as definitions and later standards regarding statistics disclosure. Eventually we hope to establish a certification process.

Pixel advertising is here to stay. The grids as you see them today are merely the first generation. Already scripts are available to incorporate pixel advertising into banners. Watch for additional traffic driving scripts including ways to deliver pixel advertising in a contextual manner. Down the line, you could even see pixel ads go wireless.

As an advertiser, does that open your market a bit more?

We're working right now in the "niche market" areas, developing a number of directories and guides to various sites. All this serves to drive more traffic to you, the advertiser. It will also make it much easier for you the customer to find the sites.

This year certainly looks incredibly promising.
